Served four years with Senior Cadets and was serving with Citizens Military Forces at time of his enlistment. Awarded the 1914-1918 British War Medal and Allied Victory Medal. On the Warragul Urban Fire Brigade, Warragul High School, Warragul State School and Warragul Shire Honour Boards.
